New to Win 8.1 pro - recommendations?
As title says, just started running windows 8.1 pro for the first time. So far along with Start8 and Fences, I am loving it. Anyone have any recommendations for other software?
I have looked at ModernMix, but so far I'm thinking if I don't find myself running any of the "Modern" apps, that will be something unneeded. So far I haven't been running any, but being this new to 8.1 I am not sure if I am going to end up getting them foisted upon me, whether I want them or not.

AMD catalyst 14.6 beta - troubles??
Went to run the Starswarm test last night, and found out the regular line of catalyst drivers doesn't have mantle included. You need to run the 14.6 beta version to have mantle enabled.
So far I have done a basic google search and found plenty of people in both camps, running great and having trouble. So basically I'm just looking for a bit of anecdotal evidence from a crowd who presumably plays a lot of 4x games, both from Stardock and others, as do I.![]()

Duplicating Fences structure on 2nd PC
My office configuration consists of a high-powered desktop with Fences installed and a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 "laptop" as my traveling machine, also with Fences. Both machines are entirely in sync through DropBox (the "desktop" and "My Documents" files have been redirected to the DropBox folder). So when I finish with the desktop and travel into a meeting with the laptop, it has an exact duplicate of the desktop files and is totally up to date.
One thing is missing: I would love to duplicate...![]()

Theme Manager and MyColors
Hey guys. I can't get Theme Manager to load anything other than Aero Midnight on XP or Vista.
I also can't get MyColors to install on either.
What's up?
I realize that XP is no longer supported, but these programs should work on XP. I hate that I bought a bunch of MyColors themes and can't use them.

Black desktop on "show desktop" button press?
Hello,
I'm using a dreamscene with deskscapes 8 on Windows 8.1 and it's working pretty well. However, I'm having an issue when clicking on the further most right edge of the screen to "show my desktop". It minimizes all windows including the dreamscene so my desktop is black until I click a program on the bar.
Any workarounds on this?

Sins Solar Empire
I have sins solar empire, boxed w CD, purchased at retail store a few years back. Key is registered with SD store, and shows in my account there. Steam does not recognize the key - so cannot download game. Best way ot address this successfully? Thank you.![]()

Misappropriated information
Perhaps the hardest lesson to learn about any other person one is making a 'connection with' is how much information to share.
In this society today ~ far too many people think that it is ok to share another person's information they shared in a one on one convo ~ be it online/email/text or face to face (F2F).
When a person does that sort of behavior it makes it less likely that person will be trusted with much other information which in turn leaves the person ...![]()
