Hi

I upgraded from windows 7 to 8.

When I apply some of old themes, I get blank "back arrow" check the image.



 

The arrows are fine with IE, it's only with explorer, and themes that uses XP style, theme custom arrows works fine.
Those exact themes working fine under windows 7 with windowblinds 7.

Is there a way to make those icons appear again?

I'm not sure what i did but for some reason Object Desktop Manager has decided that I don't have any Stardock software on my computer. My subscription is expired and I'm concerned because I may need to re-install Windows on my laptop and I don't know how it will effect trying to reinstall my Stardock stuff. I was actually wanting to do some skinning and make sure my stuff was as up to date and backed up before I started messing with Windows and I don't think I even have the S...

Since I have new computers which are Windows 8.1, the Deskcapes do not work.  I installed a codec (Windows 8, Codec Pack 2.0.1) but as soon as I use IE, the screen goes black or the picture becomes stagnant.  Is there is a codec that I need, please help.  I love Deskcapes.

Just bought latest of version for Fences. Using Win 8.1 Pro. In the fences most icons just do not react when double clicking on them.Rebooted, re installed, rebooted again. No change.
How can this be fixed?Never had this issue with the first version of Fences.

Yup, my fave show on TV is back today and I'm champing at the bit... to hear the haunting theme music will be like heaven on a stick.

So who else is champing at the bit for GoT to start? 

Also, any ideas on who will likely rise like cream to the top to seriously challenge for the iron throne? 

And what about the white walkers?  How will they be defeated before they conqeuer the North and beyond, and by whom?

My bet is on the dragon lady, Daenerys Targaryen, to over...

When updating Start8, the UAC prompt shows and after that... the whole thing crashes...

Restarting the app, pc and so on doesn't seem to help.

 

EDIT: In the event viewer the following shows up:

Howdy all,

My son is building a brand new system which will have an 240G SSD for the OS and a 1T HDD for everything else.  It probably has that new-fangled BIOS on the board.

Just wondering if there is anything special about installing an OS on an SSD.  Also, how do you keep the OS partition from bloating with user files and all the other crap that ends up in the OS partition.  I know that you can point the library folders to another HDD, but there are a lot of other files w...

Hi,

as a long time customer and subscriber I PLEASE want an honest answer if ObjectDock is still in development or not and if it EVER will work right on 64-bit systems (shortcuts always pointing to c:\program files (x86)) problem. I am really sadly tired of the update politics and public relations on this matter at Stardock at the moment (again). Seen too many good SD-programs going down the drain I relied on (aka DesktopX / RightClick...).

I'm checking out objectdock and it's pretty cool but it doesn't work with steam apps it seems.

 

You can't drag a steam-based shortcut to a dock or have it in a flyout without it losing its icon.   You just get a world icon that apparently represents a URL - and the default steam shortcut setup IS pretty screwy.  The windows desktop and Fences don't have a problem with this.

 

After researching for a while and not finding anythin...

So I've had this problem for months now, been back and forth with Stardock technical support and nothing they suggest seems to fix it. I've used Windowblinds for years and apart from one issue with UAC a few years ago I've never had any big problems with it. But at the end of my tether I've disabled it this morning as I simply cannot fix this issue.

Basically what happens is my taskbar keeps locking up. By locking up I mean I click the icons and nothing happens, I can't pe...

Hi All,

 

I was a WindowFX user some time ago, and always enjoyed the benefits of a cleaner and more recognizable window stack due to the added shadows. Now with Windows8 there are no shadows anymore provided by the OS, therefor I remembered WindowFX and bought it again in the newest incarnation. But I can't find any option about shadowing anymore? Am I just too blond to find it, or is that feature no more?  If the later, please add it back, and you'll get a lot of W...
