I have to reinstall Win8 and want to back up all my downloaded skins.  Before you say, "just use your original downloads", i clean out my downloads folder regularly, so i dont have the original files.
Does WB have a folder with all installed skins that i can copy from?

Iv'e looked in the usual places but can't find anything, and im starting to suspect that there is no skin file kept by WB....
Is there a way to archive your skins from within WB that i am not seeing perhaps?

I had an interesting issue yesterday on my system.  I often work on two computers and use Windows Remote Desktop to access the second one without having to switch peripherals. Yesterday I was constantly having to transfer files from one computer to the other. I decided to try and make a shortcut to the networked drive on the desktop of the machine that has fences. I installed WindowBlinds8 a few days ago (on Windows 8.1) and I'm pretty happy with it. Only two questions, so far....

 

1) Can I customize the colours for individual parts of my chosen skin (e.g. if I wanted progress bars to be a different colour - or the colour of a Window's Title Text)? I've found a page for altering the "system" colours but my adjustments seem to have no effect.

 

2) Can I adjust the position of a Window's Title Text? With a se...

I have legal copies of Windows XP and 7. Windows XP's Luna theme is stored under C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Luna. Windows 7 stores its themes in almost exactly the same place, so I copied the XP theme to there, keeping all the original directories in tact. When I clicked on the theme to apply it, it applied the Areo theme. Is it possible with some tweaking to make it work?

Build is Microsoft’s annual developer’s conference.  It’s been a long time since I’ve gone to one of these.



This year, for the first time in some years, I feel like Microsoft is back to their old selves.  It’s like they were in an incompetent funk for a very long time.

So I found these old Nintendo Theme Suites:They are complete, with sound replacements, wallpapers, IconPackager, the works. There's 6 more: Zelda: Windwaker, Super Mario Sunshine, Pikimin, GameBoy Advance SP, Star Fox Adventures, and Eternal Darkness . They're beautiful, but only problem is they're for Windows 95-XPSP1. I'd like to be able to use them on my Windows 7 without the corruptions that happen by using old themes with new OS's. If you want these and the other themes ...

Lifehacker was noting the update for Windows 8.1 with the Start Menu feature and the allowing apps to run in a desktop window and made mention of the Start8 and ModernMix Stardock apps which do that already...

When using laptop to connect to a lower resolution television via hdmi, the pixels between the fences become non-existant and the fences tend to overlap. Can you fix that? I would like to be able to view my 1080p setup the same way I view a 720p setup. I want the fences to shrink to fit, but I still want to keep the spaces between them intact. None of the options available do this. 1080p fences should look the exact same as teh 720p fences.

I have a feature request for Object Dock if it doesn't already have this feature.

When clicking a folder in Object Dock it would be nice if it popped out a menu to show the items.

Here is a picture of what I am thinking:



A lot of times I organize my shortcuts inside a folder and I am constantly having to open the folder to get to the shortcut I want then closing the folder. I am looking for an application that allows you to click a folder and see a menu of the items it contains ...

For most of my adult life, I’ve suffered from what I euphemistically have described as melancholy. And like most people, I mistakenly considered it to be a “mood” as opposed to a serious physiological issue.  If I just did X, then I’d feel better.

So i purchased fences after it expired and now i cant create fences or anything else

and whenever i start up my desktop UAC has me confirming fences like 3 times

This Lass dropped her phone down the drain and decided to climb in after it....

I feel really good today because I could ring my sister and let her know that all the parts we'd ordered had arrived and that I'd almost finished building her very first brand new PC.  After years of my hand-me-downs and 2nd-hand rigs that were more trouble than they were worth sometimes, and being repaid a wad of money she was owed, she bit the bullet and splurged out $AU 1100 for the build and another S250 on a mobile rack and a 4 bay Vantec caddy just like mine.
