Objectdock reverts to default settings on reboot

I couldn't find this issue in the forum already, so basically:

I'm running windows 8, and have the latest free version of objectdock installed. I've configured it with all my shortcuts and formatting, and it looks great, but everytime I reboot my computer I get the hourglass for about 30 seconds after everything else has loaded, and then Objectdock loads but with all the default settings i.e. as if I had just installed it for the first time. I tried using the option in Objectdock ...

OD 2.1 and Win 8.1 - Start Menu Needed

Hello,

Long time OD2 user on Win 7 and mostly very happy with it.

My company just sent me a new laptop with Win 8.1 installed, and I hate it.  I literally have no idea how to make it do anything without many, many keystrokes and faffing about

Sounds like a perfect job for OD2.1, I hear you say!

So I installed OD2.1 and gleefully clicked on the "start" icon on the dock, only to groan with disappointment.  It just shows the shitty Win 8.1 tile s...

WindowBlinds 1.0 was released in November 1998! Since then, it’s gotten over 100 MILLION downloads!  Over on CNET’s Download.com version 8 has received over 18 million downloads.

It was the first program to enable users to customize the look and feel of the Windows GUI.  15 years later it is still going strong. Let’s take a look at its evolution in pictures.

Version 1 Changed window frames, menu bars.   Yea, this was the config UI we had.....

White/Blank Icons

Guys, on my Dell AIO touchscreen I have installed Windows 8.1. I get mostly plain white paper icons and I do not have Icon Packager installed.

Any ideas why?   Any help would be appreciated.

Please, keep the h8r off topic comments to a minimum. I know a lot of you will blame it on the OS, but 8.1 is fine on my main rig.

Seriously, does anyone have a clue? The media over here were not reporting about it recently, or maybe i was just not paying attention, its almost 2 years since the quake after all....anyway i was under impression it is sort of a "solved" issue, i mean all the dangerous stuff removed, etc... until i read recently quite an alarming article, how in fact it is not? And a massive catastrophe can still happen there, many times more serious than Chernobyl, with actual global consequences?

Favorite Gadget of 2013: Lumia 920 Windows Phone

Back towards the end of last year, I wrote about my new Lumia 920 Windows Phone.  After having using for an entire year I can say it was probably my favorite tech gadget of 2013.  In the past year we’ve seen a couple of big updates to the Windows Phone OS, and a big uptick in popular apps coming to the WP platform such as Instagram.  I know lots of people who have also been ditching their current phones for Lumia’s and have been just as happy.

The Lumia 920 is great, and Noki...

As much as many of us like the existing WinCustomize design, technology marches on and there's a lot more we can do with WinCustomize today than we could when we did the last design.

I'm starting this thread to begin the brain storming phase of what you guys would like to see in the next-generation version of WinCustomize.com.

This can include:

1. HOW items (like skins) are organized.

2. WHAT kinds of items we include (should we add support for mobile devices for instance)

Michael Schumacher is currently in Hospital in a coma after a skiing accident.

22 years of F1 didn't get him....hopefully this won't either.

I've 'known' him since he started in F1....even provided supporting evidence which ensured he won his first Championship [in Adelaide]...in my role as Race 'Observer'.

Some people could never warm to him...but like Seb....he's 'just' German.....they're a bit that way - serious/driven.

The first Master WindowBlinds skin of 2014 is from LightStar and it’s called Render.  HIs aim was to create a “3D’ish” type of WindowBlinds skin, and I think he pulled it off quite well.

Interesting…Newest OS Usage Statistics

Interesting article at Neowin.

Looks like XP usage is dropping quickly: Down 3.38% in a month. I didn’t see sample size stats, though.

By far, the highest usage for XP is in China, with a significant persentage of those pirated. Recently, China asked MS to extend XP support. That deserves a “Chutzy Award”.

Hi, I'm new here and a happy new year to you all. Good information here and really nice stuff.

I'm using windowsblind, but only the Default Theme is working. Trying all other themes and with all programs/windows explorer, the minimize, maximize and close buttons aren't visible. Only when I hoover with my mouse there and just click, I see them very briefly and the command is executed.

I already tried a lot from the information I got here and on the Stardock forum (reinstalling W...
