It's time to compile the best and favorite Winter Holiday and Christmas skins!  As usual, I can't go through the entire site although I do try sometimes.  I'd like your help in listing your favorite holiday skins for this list.  Doesn't matter if it's your skin or from anyone else.  Just need to see your favorites.

On Neowin, Brad Sams has notified on some ugly news:

“Over two million passwords for Yahoo!, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others have been posted to the web after a botnet has infected thousands of machines and used a keylogger to obtain passwords. While this breach is not from any particular service, the botnet has clearly been running effectively for some time as it reportedly has over 2 million passwords, 300,000 of which are for Facebook accounts.”

Fences is forcing Explore to crash on a fairly fresh Windows 7 system.  After 3 times Fences realizes it's probably the cause and shuts itself down which resolves the problem as does uninstalling the application.   

It took me a while to find a solution for this as one is not available on Stardock's website yet I know they have known about it for sometime now.

“Threshold” is rumored to be the next in the coming waves of Windows updates…especially since “W8" and “Blue” were welcomed less than enthusiastically.

This upcoming version is rumored – rumored  to have a functional Start Menu, although no one can really verify this. Logically, it would seem to be the smart thing to do…something like Start 8 would be a true blessing.

I had an interesting issue yesterday on my system.  I often work on two computers and use Windows Remote Desktop to access the second one without having to switch peripherals. Yesterday I was constantly having to transfer files from one computer to the other. I decided to try and make a shortcut to the networked drive on the desktop of the machine that has fences. I've tried both the bubble effect and the zoom effect (don't like the glowing icon in the zoom effect).  Is there some way to get the selected dock icon to bounce when clicked in either of the above to effects?  Thank you for your assistance.

Win8 64bit, latest IP version, iIcons by Renato

I have tried all the "Rebuild..." options, rebooting, setting back to default and then choosing the iIcons set again, but I keep getting what's shown in the pic. When the folder first opens up, all the icons are correct, but then they change into the mish-mash shown, which looks like a mix of iIcons, Flash Live, and Windows Default. Any ideas?



What is odd is that when I right click and use the "Customize" to reset the icon, it's a...

I have been testing a lot of Win 8 PC's lately and I always install Start8 and when I format and reinstall Windows I thought it would have known I had already activated Start8 previously, but it now says I have activated it too many times, can I have it reset?

Hello everyone,

 

I was googling and searching through the forums and can't seem to find a direct answer.  How can I auto-sort my fences by file extension.  It seems to only want file names, not extensions.  Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

i bought Fences 2 today and after installing problems with Admin-Rights now i get the Message:

Stardock Account Registration: MAXIMUM ACTIVATIONS REACHED.

I installed it only once on my Desktop-PC..


Please RESET my Account Limit .. thx

everytime I apply a iconpackage via the IP Icon in the folder into iconpacker or by adding from disk or downloading via wincustomise...it sometimes shows in iconpackager...but most times not, sometimes it does and when I apply it, it applies but disappears from iconpackager when reopened....I have tried uninstalling and re-installing iconpackager, cleaning afterwards with ccleaner and no luck....deleting the icon packages from folder, moving them somewhere else and then re-installing them, still...
