The betas can be downloaded via the store accounts page (https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products/) or Stardock Central (if Show betas is enabled). 

Fences addresses a drag and drop issue with icons on the desktop with Windows 8.1, as well as a similar (but unrelated) issue for some customers who are also running Stardock's DeskScapes product.

Hi there,

I have been a Fences user since the original, but upon moving to the Windows 8.1 Preview I had to stop using it due to the bug with dragging icons around.

I've been a bit lazy checking for a fix, but today I noticed the 2.11 beta had been released so I decided I'd download it and hope that it really does fix the issue, and get fences running properly again.

Unfortunately when I go to my account to download fences, I can see both Fences Pro (the original v1), and Fences...

Hi, i just noticed that SDC (and also my downloadpage) doesnt show Fences 2 as installed. Instead SDC says i can install Fences Pro. Does somebody know why?

Hi!

I installed WindowsBlinds 8 trial version yesterday. At 1st it worked great, but after a while of testing skins the background of all opened folders turned black and the text is also unreadable. When I select the files inside the folder they turn normal. This also happens with every skin. In this picture I'm using the skin that comes with the program WinMetro 8.

All versions of IE (IE6-IE11) are vulnerable to a remote code execution which works through a memory corruption bug. Attacks have been reported, so this isn’t a ‘theoretical’ thing. Just got an email from blizzard stating that by March 2014 the Auction house will be gone.

Dear community,

 

I found out, that Island Dog is responsable

for new skins- but he doesn´t publish any

own skin, only wallpapers!

He´s not realy in the position to judge the

artistic aspects of uploaded skins!

Please find a person with more knowledge

for this job- I´m working in arts and don´t

want to be judged by a rookie!

I have bought CursorFX Plus for Windows 8 and it install good and all but my cursor is still the same default one, if any1 have this installed on Windows 8, I'd like to know how you did it, I tried uninstalling and installing in different compatibility but nothing works. Thanks.

 

Edit : Free Version works fine on WInXP Compatibility but paid version doesnt????

I have been testing a lot of Win 8 PC's lately and I always install Start8 and when I format and reinstall Windows I thought it would have known I had already activated Start8 previously, but it now says I have activated it too many times, can I have it reset?

I have been using Fences2 with Windows 8 for about a year.

 

When from Windows 8 desktop  > right click menu > View > I select  > Lock Fences and the Fences lock as expected.

 

My problem is that every day when I play Solitaire the app automatically changes the monitor's resolution to very large so that I can see the cards mo betta. When I close Solitaire the monitor's resolution is restored to its default siz...

People will hit me, but.....

I have a difficult time with getting people,

who work outside the box of computers,

interested in WindowBlinds and Fences...

it seems they start traveling their mind

through a kitchen window and yard and

don't associate the naming with anything

too do with customization. Could this

change and would you agree more

people would google and find the

products if it did?

 So, what is your opinion?

Personally, i cant stop laughing at the price of the supposed "cheap" 5C. 600 EUROs is truly price for masses, lol.

I wonder who is going to buy it, if for 700 you can have 5S, which at least looks like its worth that price. Not to mention all those Androids, which are cheaper and have better HW.

I think they are losing their mojo... i actually have iPhone 4S, and i really like it. But i have absolutely no reason to replace it, as they are completely fail...

Is anyone here a practitioner of BJJ or Krav Maga (or any other fighting style)? Why do you like the style that you like? If given a chance, would you try another discipline?

 

Any advice for a newbie? I want to pick a discipline and engage in it for fun, sport and self-defense. Not looking to become a 90th degree black belt, able to split logs with my eyelids .

Sort Fence by -> Name -> Place folders first

not working as expected, still mixing files and folders by name

I looked around and couldn't find any other posts on this. I can't figure out why my Fences are showing the tops of icons under the first row. No matter how I resize the icons, fonts, etc., I can't hide the icons on the bottom. This started with the Fences 2.01 update.
