Hi:

Does anyone knows if Stardock is going to address the problem of having an OD shortcut that points to a folder (with the "Show folder in menu" checked) which contains shortcuts to 64-bit programs that resides in "C:\Program Files".

 

When the folder OD shortcut is pressed and a 64bit program is selected from the folder menu, OD has problems resolving the location of the program and treats the program as a 32-bit program and tries to locate it in the "C:\Program Files (x86)" fol...

Okay, so I started the 100 Greatest Movies of the Last 25 Years, but it was too long and tedious, so I deleted it. Instead, I'll stick to smaller, simpler lists. We went to the reptile show this weekend.  We picked up a male and female Panther Chameleon.  The female, I believe is already ready to lay eggs. So I’m scrambling (no pun intended) to learn how to deal with that.

 

   So the male (left) is like a peacock. It’s all colorful and impressive to attract females.  The female (right) I think is pregnant.  The question is how to tell if she’s ready to lay eggs or not.

Now, before anyone rushes off in horror that this poor lad has had his 'family jewels' handed to him on a platter.....

Just like the tittle, why Blur effect not workin? its pure transparent like pure glass...

I guess it's too weird... not like windows 7 or vista, even windows XP too that doesnt have aero but can blur the frame.. but not in windows 8

no blur, just real transparent... using windowblinds in windows XP still better than windows 8 .. duh

Is there any way to disable Fences temporarily?

I have various problems with Fences that I'd like to troubleshoot, rather than give up on the product.

Fences works beautifully for me on Windows XP, but is troublesome on my Windows 7 computers.

For instance, when booting my laptop, Explorer.exe often doesn't start properly, often requiring multiple reboots. If I can isolate this problem to Fences (or not), it might help me solve the problem.

On my Thinkpad X301 laptop, explorer.exe crashes at boot-up when Fences is enabled. This doesn't happen at every boot, but probably 2 times out of 3. I have to log out of Windows and try again, sometimes several times in a row to get my desktop to appear.

When I "unenable" Fences, it boots properly every time. Enable again, crash again!

What could cause this, and is there a known solution?

On my Windows 7 machines, new desktop icons often appear staggered within random fences, rather than appearing outside my existing fences.  This happens with Fences 2.0 and also happened with the earlier version.

EVERY new icon doesn't get mis-assigned, but it happens pretty frequently.

I've never had this problem on my Windows XP machines, only with Windows 7.

The new icons can be relocated easily enough, but I was wondering if this is a frequent problem and if there migh...

I recently installed WindowsFX 5.1 and discovered a small problem with the Inactive Windows feature.  I have Rainmeter running on my desktop and when the "Make windows under the active window darken..." feature is selected, it darkens Rainmeter and when the option to blur inactive windows is selected, it blurs Rainmeter, as well.  Is there any way to prevent certain windows (such as Rainmeter in my case) from being darkened and blurred?

I've been using Fences for months now and I really like it, particularly as my desktop no longer gets messed up when I install drivers or whatnot.

I several standard Fences on the desktop and two large Portals, each on different 'screens' which I can flick backwards and forwards too in a tablet-like manner (another great feature). Can,does or will this new deskscapes work on an Vista OS? If anyone could shed a little light on this as it appears its geared for windows 7&8. I do not want to mess with what I currently have if this new version is not compatible.

Purchased windows 8 fences a while back then today I purchased Deskscape 8. When i double click to hide fences, the boxes go and I'm left with all the shortcut icons still on-top of my desktop rather than them going invisible as they should. I thought as both stardock packages and part of the objectdock package they would be compatible together. How do I fix this?

I recently tried to open deskscapes, and when prompted to enter the seria #, after locating it on Stardock Central, copied it to my clipboard and tried to register it but I got an error message saying it was the incorrect serial number. Can you please help me?

I have an early version of Fences which your web store indicates is Not subjet to an upgrade to 2.0 discount. When I buy 2.0 and install; what happens to my older version of Fences and all my current Desktop Fences arrangenents?
