Like several others, I can't move icons or folders on my desktop.

This is under the following conditions:

Win 8.1

Fences public

Fences 2.01

Fences 2.10

No other Stardock software installed.

Can't drag icons/folders to the trash. 

Can't drag icons/folders to other icons/folders/Fences.

Can't drag icons/folders from Fences.

Tried changing ALL Fences settings, Align icons to Grid, Auto Arrange icons.

I used Fences public, Fences 2.01 and Fences ...

Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old! 

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

Beta releases with support for the Windows 8.1 Preview are now available for Fences (v2.11) and ModernMix (v1.09) for registered users and ODNT customers.

Have installed Fences on Windows 8.

Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...

On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading. I have no desktop Icons until Fences finally loads (or perhaps loads straight away but nothing shows for 15 seconds or so). The machine boots in about 5 seconds or so, so its...

I'm using windows 8.1 with windowblinds 8. Every theme I apply exept the original windows 8 theme, shows the right click menu (jumplists) colored in black. Is there a fix?

Over the last couple of weeks we have had some negative drama on WinCustomize.  The weather widget alone has caused a ton of frustration alone, so I wanted to do something to bring some positive vibes to WC, and to show that we are a community.

Since the economy is in a bad situation, I know we have many members on WC who have been hit with very hard times.  Trying to help someone who has lost a job for instance can be difficult, but I do know things like hobbies and friends...

I have now installed Decor 8 on two different Windows 8 PC's, and even though when I run Decor 8 and it says it is v1.05, when I run Stardock Central it keeps saying that Decor 8 v1.05 upgrade is available, and my installed software list says I have v1.02 (beta) installed.

Saw this in Google News this morning.

I'm sure that veteran users of Photoshop understand the topic of layers. You can't do much in Photoshop without them: Certainly not non-destructively.

Anyway, I found a really good tutorial explaining layers to all.

Even advanced users can profit!

Hi,

I am using Fences 2.0. Drawing a rectangle on desktop activates create a fence here option. Most of the times i have to select more than 1 icons on the desktop, I had to do that using left click and then select the icons, but doing so also activates create fence option which is becoming a headache for me now. I want to activate this option only when drawing a rectangle using right click. Is there any option to disable the create fence option when left click is used to draw a rectangle?

Windows has the feature to show a line when dragging a file between two other files.  This way, I know I'm moving the file between the other files, and not dropping it onto one of them.  I lost that after installing Fences.  I don't see an option in Fence to enable this.  Is this a Windows setting that I can re-enable?  I found Fences enabled drop shadows but I was able to reset that in my Windows settings.  I can't figure out how to get this line back w...

I'm looking for a way to have files 'related' to another file be put in the same fence as the original file.  For example when I open MS Word and edit a file, I'd like the temporary file to be place in the fence with the word document.  Also if I copy a file that's in a fence, then the pasted file should also go in the same fence.  I can' paste to a fence using the right-click context menu, but can't do it using CTRL-V.  I don't see any way to ...

Hello,

 

   I noticed this on one file portal at first then my other file portals started to mysteriously become empty. I tried to refresh but nothing happens. Does some 1 have a quick way to get the portals to display items again without restarting?

Is it just me or did ObjectDock's price just double over the last couple of days?

I'm currently doing the trial and could swear it was priced at 4.99 when I started a week or so ago. At the current 9.99 it's no longer impulse purchase...
