Forgive me if using WB8 in a multi-user environment is against the EULA, but I've found the color settings get shared among my two administrator accounts on Windows 8.  (I know that this isn't best security practice.)

To replicate:

Hi All,

I want to install WB8.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 and WB7.

Do I ?? 

1 De-install WB7 first using control panel?

2. Reboot.

3. Install WB8.

4. Reboot

This is correct??

I have recently installed the WB8 release on Win8 X64. I have a laptop with 1366x768 and a 1280x1024 LCD panel at the right.

The viewports are aligned as you may see in the next screenshot:



If you see the whole sized image, there's a red line I've drawn across both displays.

Well... I can't move Windows Explorer windows (by dragging them from the title bar) above that red line on the LCD panel. I can't even hit any button other than the system menu icon (at the left)...

I like Object dock a lot, their are a couple of things that I would like to see a Modder make for it though which I think could make for a really cool looking dock - and I don't know if what I'm thinking can be done can be done but thought I'd put this out there.

Firstly that a dock be created which is purely a mirror as its texture with the usual slight S pattern through it that seems to feature on all the docks.

Secondly that an invisible light source above the dock...

Saw it today....Terry spent a lot of time 'hiding'....she enjoys Zombie movies.....

It was good, we both enjoyed it.

Movies re Zombies, Vampires, and such always make me wonder....is there a book of 'rules' by which everyone MUST follow...re how to kill/avoid/beat/etc such critters?

I hear tell they don't actually exist so are the 'creation' of someone's imagination....

There seem to be quite a few problems with WB8. Amongst other things, when you apply a skin it usually changes the desktop color. If you want to keep your own choice of desktop color then, previously, you had to right click on the desktop, go to personalization and change it in the advance settings, Windows 7 color and Appearance app.

Now, in WB8, when you go into the Color and Appearance app and change the desktop color it indicates that it's doing that but the color doesn't change. ...

I have the latest (registered) version 2.10 installed. I have set Firefox to save and download directly to desktop.When I download something it does not show on desktop screen. I have to open My Computer>Desktop to access my downloads. Also, if I create a shortcut the same condition applies. This was not happening in the past versions of Objectdock. Do I need to change something in settings?

PS. I use Win8 pro x64.

What happened to Global Warming?

When I put my first above ground pool in around the late 90's we were able to open it in April and start swimming in May.

Now my pool is just opened and still not warm enough to swim in

Hello,

I just bought a license pack for Fences and would like to push it to my users with our deployment tool (WPKG). I already read that you can easily install with the /s option, but activation is not covered by this.

 

Is there a way to activate Fences unattended? I don't really want to mail the serials around or wander to every workstation individually.

 

Secondly: Is there a way to check (via script or registry key) if the activation was successful? Maybe a file...

ZeroVulnerabilityLab has been purchased by Malwarebytes, and is still freeware.

What is it? It is software designed to protect the user against Zero-Day threats.

So, after the purchase, Malwarebytes released a beta which is pretty much the same as the original and has the new branding with some improvements.

What isn’t the same?

"[There’s no]... “Please close all applications protected by Exploit-Shield”, and no required closing your browser/s either...

I cannot get IconPackager to change my live folders.  I'm using a package that has live folders built-in.  I've rebuilt the icon cache several times.  When I look at the shell icons entry in the registry, it does point to my live folders icon package images. What am I missing???

Hello,

I have an anoying bug:

1- If I run photoshop using skin on it: I have an horizontal offset (to the left) when using the color selector (for example). So I tried over skins and the conclusion is that the amount of the offset is related to the width of the perpixel side frame.

2- Then, I tried excluding photoshop skining in WB8 options, And in this case I have not the offset problem BUT I have no image displayed !! (my image only appears in the navigation preview area (at top right...

Hello,

I'm using Win8-64bit and I have 5 monitors driven by 3 nVidia cards.  I'm also using the latest versions of Start 8, Fences, and Blinds.  All software, including the OS, is up to date.  My monitors are configured in a 2-above/3-below (like a pyramid) configuration with the top two being standard 16:9 and the bottom three being standard 5:4.  Without fail, whenever I open a Windows Explorer window and drag it onto either of the top monitors it gets locked int...

Couldn't find anything recent on something like this.  Regardless of the skin I use, my explorer windows will not maximize correctly.  I'm not talking about Internet Explorer, but just explorer (used to browse folders, etc...).   Attached is an image of what it is doing when I try to maximize.

 

Furthermore, when it does that, nothing is clickable, and click dragging anywhere on the screen will remove the window's maximized status and return it to ...

Fences is forcing Explore to crash on a fairly fresh Windows 7 system.  After 3 times Fences realizes it's probably the cause and shuts itself down which resolves the problem as does uninstalling the application.   

It took me a while to find a solution for this as one is not available on Stardock's website yet I know they have known about it for sometime now.
