I just installed Internet Explorer 10 Release Preview for Windows 7 and it killed Deskscapes 3.5. Now getting no animation and a video codec message (both Microsoft and Cyberlink MPEG2 codecs are installed - no problem playing DVD's). I realize there are risks when installing Beta software - just want to make sure the developers are aware of this issue.![]()

Transparency
Hello, this is my first post here. I just got Windowblinds. The transparency of Windows (not the taskbar, not the start menu) does not change when I adjust and apply the transparency setting. It stays completely opaque. I am using the Aero Metals theme, but have noticed the same problem with other skins.
Any ideas?

The Star Trek Into Darkness thread
Putting aside the debate over whether the I in Into is capitalized or not, the movie was terrific.
No spoilers in this post.
Having managed to avoid spoilers going into the theater I was surprised again and again as the movie progressed. It’s very much a character driven story. Sure, there are some great special effects and some surprisingly detailed depictions of Earth in the 23rd century (more than I think we’ve ever gotten in a Star Trek film).

when clicked on the show desktop icon on the bottom right, it causes the desktop shortcuts to disappear. only if there is a window open and you restore it, the icons get back to the desktop. also, right after installation, icons and shortcuts remain fixed

Compatibility Issues
I installed WindowBlinds 8 Beta yesterday and ran into these issues:
Logitech Gaming Software will not load under any condition while WindowBlinds is running
Google Chrome Browser crashes universally, any webpages in their respective tabs will not load (state crashed)
Once I had uninstalled WindowBlinds the Chrome Browser worked perfectly fine and I had to unload WindowBlinds to get Logitech Software to work.![]()

ObjectDock 2.1 periodically stops responding
Win 7, 64 bit. Was a happy 1.9 user for many years. Recently upgraded to the 2.1 version. Beta was ok, but the official release periodically stops responding to mouse presses. I've discovered that if I maximize windows repeatedly over the dock and press Control-ESC multiple times, it eventually recognizes mouse clicks again.

Desktop pauses for 10s and jumps down then up after receiving focus

My first post here so I can I start by saying that I *love* Stardock software, and that this is what Windows was supposed to be like, IMHO. Totally changed my entire Windows experience.
But to get into my problem - I've had a frustrating experience with Fences where, when refocussing on my desktop (eg closing Firefox or some other program I might have open, on any of my 3 monitors) then everything will pause for about 7-10 seconds while the desktop shifts down slightly (approx ...![]()

I have installed WidnowsFX 5.1 on a laptop that is running Windows 8 x64. I have attempted to set the animations and it appears to save in WindowFX but the animations do not occur - for example opening and closing of a window.

google drive loaded to my PC
I just upgraded flash player to allow amazon movie views to work on my PC. It downloaded a program that had to be 'activated' to actually install flash-player. OK. Cool.BUT> It also downloaded and installed, without asking me, "google drive." I've binged 'google drive' and it seems to be an instant, over the web, way to access all sorts of stuff on my PC from other places. I don't want / need this particular functionality. "Do not darken when children get focus"
I'm having a problem with one of my windows always going "dark" with the WindowFX setting to darken them when inactive.
The main problem is when I have dual monitors active, I put a game on the second one to idle on, and the main window is usually Google Chrome, etc. When I'm active on Google Chrome, the game window darkens ... I've toggled the right click title bar > Do not darken when children get focus but oblivious to the fact that's checked, it remains darkene...![]()

Computer glasses really work
My office has a lot of light in it. It’s one of those catch-22, people want windowed offices but the light can be very distracting. Rather than constantly fighting with my blinds, I decided to try some computer glasses.

2.01 sorts horizontally, not vertically

Is there no way to treat a fence as 3 or 4 VERTICAL columns of icons (as windows does by default)? There's too much empty space because Fences is sorting them by date (as I want) but it's a horizontal rule, not a vertical? Also, "exlude this icon when hiding" is not available, it's simply not there, although icons I excluded using fences 1.01 DO stay visible when hide desktop icons is used?![]()

Has Microsoft opened the door for Linux
So my question is that since Microsoft has chosen to make changes to it's Windows OS will it have the effect of Desktop PC users giving Linux (Ubuntu) a look at and try on their desktops?
Is there enough software available that the user could transition to Linux?

No Transperency on windowblinds
I'm using Windows7 64bit The windowblind I'm having problems with is Sakura. The problem happens with both the default color or recolored versions any help would be would be great. Oh! the windowblind I'm am using is v.7.9
