Desktop pauses for 10s and jumps down then up after receiving focus

My first post here so I can I start by saying that I *love* Stardock software, and that this is what Windows was supposed to be like, IMHO. Totally changed my entire Windows experience.
But to get into my problem - I've had a frustrating experience with Fences where, when refocussing on my desktop (eg closing Firefox or some other program I might have open, on any of my 3 monitors) then everything will pause for about 7-10 seconds while the desktop shifts down slightly (approx ...![]()

Making Win 8 like Win 7
I'm considering going for a full Object Desktop upgrade. The main thing I want to do is make Win 8 look primarily like Win 7 and behave mostly like it. I already have Start8 and used to use WindowBlinds until I stopped using XP. A decent interface is worth the money. The question is whether the customization is tidy and well-behaved enough so the performance hit is minimal. I've got 10GB ram and 2GB video.![]()

Compatibility Issues
I installed WindowBlinds 8 Beta yesterday and ran into these issues:
Logitech Gaming Software will not load under any condition while WindowBlinds is running
Google Chrome Browser crashes universally, any webpages in their respective tabs will not load (state crashed)
Once I had uninstalled WindowBlinds the Chrome Browser worked perfectly fine and I had to unload WindowBlinds to get Logitech Software to work.![]()

Safe Mode in W8 and the F8 Key

SkinStudio 8 (7.90 beta) Issues and Recommendations Thread
OK, the 7/8 fonts section does not work at all in Windows 7 or 8 in a LOT of skins, cannot even reset the area to default fonts.
What the heck is this "Old close button" addition in the Tree/Tooltips area? It says it's for IE7? IE7 is ancient.
How about including images in the help section of new (and even some old) items and a better explanation of what the image does?
Sure would have been nice if you would have made the new SkinStudio pinnable to the taskbar too.![]()

High CPU usage when moving fences around
I decided to re-organize my desktop a little, and was moving some fences around. Since I like my fences neat and evenly spaced, I was holding down shift to have more control over where they were placed. While holding shift I clicked and started to drag the first fence. Within a few seconds, the CPU usage of one of the cores jumped to 89-99% and dragging became extremely laggy and staggered.

Make Windows 8 function like Windows 7 but with the improvements of Windows 8
As a tablet OS, Windows 8 is pretty decent. I don’t have a problem with the Start screen in theory. But I spend 8+ hours a day in front of a PC doing real work and that means using a desktop OS.
Windows 8 includes the desktop but it relegates that to being a program you run from the Start screen. What we really want is to get the good stuff in Windows 8 (faster performance, new Modern app support, etc.) without the negatives. That’s where Object Desktop comes in!

What does Adobe Photoshop Express have that makes it so popular?
Popular? Well, according to Neowin the free app has seized second place among the free apps the W8 Apps Store. Interesting as it only launched a few weeks ago. Riddick Movie (2013)
What do you guys think about the upcoming Riddick movie? I enjoyed Pitch Black very much and thought Chronicles was ok, I would say that Riddick looks a lot more like Pitch Black in terms of grittiness, style and plot. I also have to say that although Vin Diesel is never going to win an Oscar I actually think this is undoubtably his best character and he plays him very well.

Hi guys ..Planned to make Custom Start Menu Using DX for Windows..
I have Made and Finished 80% but Want some more help to finish it 100%..
what i want is when we click on start menu in Windows it popups a menu and when we click any where else except on start menu it closes..how can i do that using DX..Popup made but how to make it invisible when i click on anywhere on desktop except on start menu..
