The number of tech companies in Michigan is…well not very high.  And I’ve noticed a trend over the past 20 years: As time goes on, an ever increasing percentage of my friends that I talk to socially boil down to one of 3 categories:

Lawyers.  When I started the company, I didn’t know any lawyers. The first lawyer I hired I found through the yellow pages. At our 10 year anniversary, I think about a quarter of my active friends were lawyers. Today, it’s probably about half. ...

My wife and I saw this on Friday.  I won’t put any spoilers in this post but suffice to say I was fairly disappointed.  Tom Cruise did about all he could do with it and the production values were amazing but the story fell flat for me.

Hey, so I'm not trying to plead for Sins to get 64-bit/multithreading,  but I've been thinking about things...

Is it not possible to make a kind of 'helper' app that only runs on a 64-bit, multithreaded system? This apps sole job would be to manage additional assets above and beyond what the 32-bit, single threaded can do, swapping the resources into the main app as needed.

This would clearly be a patchwork way to add multithreading, but it helps,  and I would thi...

When an application adds a new shortcut to the Desktop and Fences is running, the shortcut doesn't show on the Desktop. The .lnk file is in my Desktop folder, but it doesn't show on-screen. What settings do I need to change, or is this a bug?

I would send a PM but I don't know who to contact so I'll just throw it out here in front of everyone. Maybe they will see it. Heck, my name should raise a red flag with at least one of them.

So here's the deal. I uploaded a skin(cursor)yesterday and now it's on the home page(new skin)and it's on my page but it's not on my skins list and it's not in the CursorFX gallery. I don't remember checking the box for "show on my page only" but ya never know.

StarDock central has updated Tweak7 6 times in 5 days on my Windows Vista system because apparently, it's still showing up in StarDock Central as version 1.50 even though when I launch it 2.0.1 is actually installed and running! How do I fix this so it stops reinstalling every day?!?

What television series would you recommend to someone to start from scratch?

For instance, I’ve never watched Lost but I don’t think I could handle 7+ years or whatever it was of shows mainly because I heard the show ended up like X-Files where the creators were kind of winging it.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I am new to ObjectDock. Currently I am running V2 beta.

I would like to drop files onto a docked application. i.e. drop an MP3 file onto foobar2000. The MP3 file should then be opened in foobar2000. How do I configure this?

Is it possible to change the size of the icons that come from the system tray? I have managed to change the size of my application icons, but the tray icons always stay the same (ugly) size.

Any help appreciated!
